The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, January 17 suggests Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will ask for Michael Baldwin’s (Christian LeBlanc) help with Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi).
Also coming up, Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will let loose on Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) but Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will tell Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) he understands. Plus, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) faces off with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Y&R spoilers tease Devon will ask to speak to Abby alone. As Chance and Amanda leave, he’ll ask her to go for coffee. Once they’re on the Crimson Lights patio, Chance will tell her he can understand Devon’s point of view more than Abby can. “I intend to move past this and heal. And I think Devon should be involved,” he’ll tell Amanda. “Why not have as many people as possible loving our boy?”

However, Abby doesn’t feel the same way at all. “You were my best friend,” she’ll say. “And now you’re turning on us.” Abby will again tell Devon he’s attacking their parenting. He’ll say no, just Chance’s. “You see yourself as our son’s father,” she’ll say. But Devon will say he’s just doing what’s best for Dominic. “You want to do what’s best for you,” she’ll shoot back. After Chance comes home, Abby will say they need to call Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell). But Chance will suggest they talk about it first. “Wait. You don’t think Devon has a right to do this, do you?” she’ll ask him.
Meanwhile, Adam will see Victoria with Ashland and will sit down with them at Crimson Lights. He’ll ask her that since she knew about Billy’s scheme, why didn’t she mention it to he and Victor at the ranch the other day. “I don’t really have time for your what did you know and when did you know it game,” Victoria will say. “The point is, I stopped Billy in his tracks.”
Adam will say he can’t help but wonder if she had a plan of her own and it has something to do with Newman Media. “I know you’re up to something, either targeting Newman Media, or me,” he’ll say. Victoria will warn him that Victor won’t always have his back. But Adam will say the same could be said for she and Ashland.

Speaking of Victor, he’ll tell Michael he’d like to put all things Newman under one banner, and he’d like his help. “The one wildcard in all this for me is Ashland Locke,” Victor will say. “I know he loves my daughter and she loves him. But I don’t trust him.”
Michael will be surprised. But Victor will say he knows Michael understands how much Newman Enterprises has meant to him. He built it from the ground up. “And now Newman enterprises is called Newman Locke,” Victor will remark. “I’ve never trusted an outsider running my company. Never.” Victor will wonder if Ashland will regret merging the companies if he makes a miraculous recovery. But will Victor ask Michael to investigate Ashland’s intentions?
